Design leader driven by thoughtful details, human-centered environments, and a strategic approach to how teams work, collaborate, and deliver.
Leandro Lujan is a Miami-based interior designer and design leader with more than a decade of experience shaping workplace, hospitality, retail, and experiential environments. With experience in both industrial design and interior architecture, he brings a rare cross-disciplinary perspective to every project, merging craft, technology, and strategic thinking.
His career spans brand, product, and interior design across multiple markets. He began his journey in Havana and continued it in Miami, working across diverse project types before joining Gensler. There, he strengthened his technical foundation and deepened his understanding of documentation, coordination, and delivery at scale, reinforcing his view of design as a problem-solving discipline that connects people, place, and purpose.
Leandro’s approach continued to evolve through academic work and teaching. After earning his Master of Interior Architecture from FIU, he returned as an adjunct professor, mentoring emerging designers in workplace strategy, personal branding, and visual communication. This role reflects his commitment to elevating the next generation of talent and contributing to the profession beyond practice.
Currently, he serves as Director of Operations and Project Lead at G Alvarez Studio, Inc., where he manages project workflows, fosters cross-disciplinary coordination, and partners with firm leadership to drive strategic growth and pursue new business opportunities.
